Wriggle is like when a worm moves on the ground. It doesn’t walk like you do with your feet. Instead, it twists and turns its body to get from one place to another. Imagine your fingers pretending to be a little worm, moving in a squiggly line across the table. That’s wriggling!
Think of a dancing snake. When a snake slithers, it moves in a smooth, wavy motion. Wriggling is similar, but sometimes it’s more quick and wiggly, like when you’re trying to shake off water from your hands.
Wriggling can also be like when you’re sitting in your chair and you can’t sit still. You might move around a lot, shifting your body from side to side, trying to get comfortable. That’s you wriggling in your seat!
Or picture a happy puppy wagging its tail. The tail moves back and forth really fast because the puppy is excited. Wriggling is like that tail wagging, just with your whole body or a part of it moving in a fun, squirmy way.
