Wind is like the invisible friend who loves to play tag. It moves around us, sometimes gently, like a soft whisper, and other times quickly, like it’s racing. Wind is made when the air moves from one place to another. Imagine the air is like a big blanket around the Earth, and sometimes it gets pushed around when it gets too hot or too cold. This moving air is what we call wind.
Think of wind as the breath of the Earth. When the Earth breathes out, it pushes the air around, and that’s what you feel on your face when you’re outside. Sometimes it’s a gentle breath, like when you’re blowing on a dandelion, and sometimes it’s a big breath, like when you blow up a balloon.
Wind can also be like a helper, moving things from one place to another. It helps birds fly, pushes sailboats across the water, and even helps us by turning the big blades on windmills to make electricity. So, wind is like a busy helper, always moving and doing important jobs.
