weave
Weaving is like making a friendship bracelet. Imagine you have lots of colorful strings. When you weave, you take these strings and cross them over and under each other to make a pretty pattern. It’s like when you play with blocks and stack them in a special way to make a castle. Each string is like a block, and the way you put them together makes something beautiful and strong.
Think of weaving as braiding hair. When you braid, you take three pieces of hair and cross them over each other. Weaving is similar but with lots more strings and sometimes with different colors. Just like a braid keeps the hair together, weaving keeps the strings together to make things like clothes or blankets.
Weaving is also like making a spider web. A spider uses its silk to create a web by going over and under, around and around. This makes a strong net to catch flies. When you weave, you are making a kind of net too, but instead of catching flies, it can be used to make things like baskets or rugs.
