Volume is like the amount of space something takes up. Imagine your favorite toy box. If you fill it with toys, the box is full, and that’s the volume of the box. It’s about how much stuff can fit inside something. Volume is like how much water you can pour into a glass before it spills over. If you have a big glass, you can pour more water, and if you have a small glass, you can pour less. The big glass has more volume than the small glass.
Think about a balloon. When you blow air into it, it gets bigger. The more air you blow in, the bigger it gets, and that’s because the volume inside the balloon is increasing. The balloon can hold a lot of air, and that’s its volume.
