tired
Being tired is like when your favorite toy runs out of batteries. It can’t move or make sounds anymore, and it needs a little rest before it can play again. Your body is just like that toy. When you have been playing, running, or thinking a lot, your body and mind need a break to get their energy back.
Imagine your body is like a balloon. When you wake up in the morning, it is full of air and ready to bounce around. But as the day goes on, the air slowly leaks out, and by bedtime, the balloon is all floppy and needs to be filled up again. Sleeping is like blowing air back into the balloon, so it can be full and bouncy again the next day.
Think of your mind as a chalkboard. When you learn new things or have lots of fun, you fill the board with colorful drawings and words. But after a while, the chalkboard gets too full, and it needs to be wiped clean. Sleeping helps clear the chalkboard, so you can fill it with even more exciting things the next day.
