review
A review is like when you taste a new candy and then tell your friends whether it was yummy or not. You might say, “This candy is super sweet and makes my tongue tingle!” or “I didn’t like this candy because it was too sour.” Sharing your thoughts helps your friends decide if they want to try it too.
Think of a review as a special kind of report card. When you watch a movie or read a book, you can give it a grade. You might say, “I give this movie an A+ because it made me laugh a lot!” or “This book gets a B because it was a little boring.” Just like a report card tells you how you’re doing in school, a review tells others how much you liked something.
A review is also like being a detective. You look closely at a toy, game, or activity and try to find out what you like or don’t like about it. Then, you tell people what you discovered. Maybe you say, “This toy is fun because it has bright colors and makes cool sounds,” or “This game is hard because the rules are confusing.” Being a review detective helps others know what to expect.
