rape
Rape is a very serious and bad thing that happens when someone forces another person to do something with their body that they don’t want to do. It’s like when someone takes your favorite toy and breaks it without asking, but it’s much worse because it happens to a person’s body and feelings. People have the right to say “no” if they don’t want to share or do something, and everyone should listen and respect that.
If you think of your body as your own personal space, like a special bubble that only you can decide who gets to come inside, rape is when someone ignores your bubble and comes in without your permission. This makes people feel very sad, scared, and hurt.
Just like we have rules to keep us safe, like looking both ways before crossing the street, there are rules to protect our bodies and feelings too. Rape breaks these important rules. If someone ever makes you feel uncomfortable or does something you don’t like, it’s important to tell a trusted adult, like a parent or a teacher, so they can help keep you safe.
