poor
Being poor is like having a small box of crayons when others have big boxes with many colors. It means you might not have as many things, like toys or clothes, as some of your friends. It can be harder to get what you need, like yummy food or a warm jacket for winter. But it doesn’t mean you’re not special or loved.
Think of a garden. Some gardens have lots of flowers and plants, while others might only have a few. A garden with fewer flowers is still beautiful, but it might need more help to grow. Being poor is like that garden. It might need extra care and love to become as full as the others.
Imagine if you’re playing a game where everyone has to build a sandcastle. Some kids have big buckets and shovels, while others only have their hands. The ones with just their hands might take longer or need some help, but they can still make wonderful sandcastles with a little creativity and teamwork. Being poor is like having to be extra creative and resourceful to make things work.
