pile
A pile is like when you have a lot of toys and you put them all together in one place. Imagine you have a bunch of blocks, cars, and dolls, and you stack them on top of each other. That group of toys is a pile. It’s like a little mountain made of your things. Sometimes, piles can be neat and tidy, like when you stack books on a shelf, and sometimes they can be messy, like when you throw all your clothes in one corner of your room.
Think of a pile like a tower made of many different things. When you build a tower with your blocks, you are creating a pile of blocks. Each block is like a piece of a puzzle, and when you put them together, they make something bigger. The blocks on the bottom help hold up the blocks on top, just like how a pile works.
Another way to think about a pile is like a sandcastle at the beach. When you scoop up sand with your shovel and dump it in one spot, you are making a pile of sand. The more sand you add, the bigger your sandcastle pile becomes. Sometimes, the wind or waves can knock it down, and then you have to start piling the sand again.
