matter
Matter is like the building blocks of everything around us. Think of it like LEGO bricks. Just like you use LEGO bricks to build castles, cars, or spaceships, the world uses tiny pieces called atoms to create everything you see, touch, and feel. These atoms are so small that you can’t see them with your eyes, but they are there, making up everything from your favorite toy to the trees outside.
Imagine you have a big jar of jellybeans. Each jellybean is like an atom, and when you put them all together, they make something bigger, like a jar full of candy! In the same way, when atoms come together, they form molecules, which are like groups of jellybeans. These molecules make up all the things in the world, like water, air, and even you!
Think of matter like a big, invisible magic blanket that covers everything. This blanket can be solid, like your toys; liquid, like the water you drink; or gas, like the air you breathe. Even though you can’t always see or touch it, matter is always around you, making up the world we live in.
