gossip
Gossip is like a game of telephone. Imagine you and your friends are sitting in a circle. You whisper a secret to the person next to you, and they whisper it to the next person. By the time it gets back to you, the secret might be different! This is because each person might change a little part of what they heard, sometimes on purpose, sometimes by accident.
Gossip can also be like a spider’s web. When one person tells a story to another, it sticks to them like a thread. Then, that person tells someone else, and the web gets bigger and bigger. Soon, many people are connected by the web, all sharing the same story. But remember, a web can be sticky and hard to get out of, just like gossip can sometimes cause trouble.
Think of gossip as a whispering wind. It blows from one person to another, carrying stories along. Sometimes the wind can be gentle and fun, spreading funny stories. But other times, it can be strong and hurtful, spreading things that aren’t true. Always be careful what you share with the wind!
