Gas is like invisible air that can fill up a balloon and make it float. When you blow up a balloon, you are putting air, which is a type of gas, inside it. This gas pushes against the inside of the balloon and makes it bigger. It’s like when you fill a cup with water, but instead of water, it’s air that you can’t see!
Another way to think about gas is like bubbles in a soda. When you open a bottle of soda, you see lots of tiny bubbles. Those bubbles are filled with gas. The gas wants to escape and that’s why you hear a fizzing sound when you open the bottle.
Gas can also be like the wind. You can’t see the wind, but you can feel it when it blows on your face. That’s because the wind is made of gas moving around really fast. Even though you can’t see it, gas is all around us, helping things move and float, and making things like balloons and bubbles fun to play with.
