fuss
A fuss is like when you’re playing with your toys, and suddenly, your little brother or sister comes over and takes one. You might feel upset and start crying or shouting because something didn’t go the way you wanted. That’s making a fuss! It’s like when you spill your juice and start crying because you didn’t want it to happen.
Imagine a tiny storm in your tummy that makes you feel all mixed up inside. When you make a fuss, it’s like that little storm is coming out, and everyone can see it. Sometimes, grown-ups make a fuss too, like when they can’t find their keys and start looking everywhere while talking loudly.
Think of a fuss as a big, noisy balloon that gets bigger and bigger when you feel upset or frustrated. If you let the air out slowly, by taking deep breaths or talking about it, the balloon gets smaller, and you feel calmer. Making a fuss is okay sometimes, but learning how to let the balloon get smaller is important too!
