Dry is like when you have a towel that just came out of the laundry and it feels warm and fluffy, not wet at all. When something is dry, it doesn’t have any water in it. Imagine a sunny day at the beach where the sand is warm under your feet and not sticking to them because there’s no water. That’s dry sand! Dry is when the ground hasn’t had rain for a while, and it feels hard and dusty. You know when you spill water on the floor, and you use a mop to clean it up? After a while, the floor becomes dry again because all the water is gone. It’s like when you have your favorite cereal without milk. The cereal is crunchy and doesn’t feel soggy. Dry is like when you blow on your hands after washing them, and they don’t feel wet anymore. It’s like the feeling of your skin when you come out of the pool and the sun has dried you off. Dry is when your clothes are hanging in the sun and they don’t feel heavy with water anymore.
