Think of a tower built with toy blocks. When everything is stacked nicely, the tower stands tall and strong. But if you remove a block from the bottom, the whole tower might suddenly fall down. This is what we call a collapse. The tower couldn’t stand anymore because something important was taken away.
Picture a balloon filled with air. When you let the air out, the balloon gets all wrinkly and small. It doesn’t stand up like it used to. The balloon has collapsed because it lost what was inside that kept it big and round.
Imagine a tent on a camping trip. When the poles are strong and in the right place, the tent stands up and gives you a cozy spot to rest. But if the poles break or aren’t set up right, the tent can fall down. This is another kind of collapse. The tent couldn’t stay up without its support.
In all these examples, a collapse happens when something loses its strength or support and can’t hold its shape anymore.
