A citizen is like being part of a big family called a country. Just like in your family, you have a home where you live with people you care about, in a country, you live with lots of other people. Everyone in this big family helps to take care of each other and make the place where they live better.

Think of a citizen as a player on a team. On this team, everyone has different jobs and roles, but they all work together to win the game. In a country, people do different things like being teachers, doctors, or builders, and together they make the country a happy place to live.

Being a citizen also means you have special rights and responsibilities. Rights are like the special things you get to do, such as playing in the park or going to school. Responsibilities are like the important jobs you have, like cleaning up your toys or helping a friend. When everyone does their part, the country becomes a wonderful place for everyone to live and play.
