charge
Charge is like when you have a balloon, and you rub it on your hair. Your hair stands up because the balloon gets a special kind of energy called static electricity. This energy is like a tiny invisible magnet that makes things stick together or push apart.
Think of charge like when you plug in your toy car to make it go. The toy car needs power from a battery. The battery is full of little energy pieces called electrons that move around to make the car zoom. These electrons are what we call an electric charge.
Imagine charge as if it were a water hose. The water flowing through the hose is like the charge moving through a wire. If you squeeze the hose, the water stops, just like when a switch stops the charge from moving.
Charge can also be like a game of tag. When you tag someone, you’re passing on something, just like when an object with a charge can pass it to another object, making them both charged.
