area
When you think of area, imagine a big blanket that covers the floor. The area is like the size of the blanket. If you have a small blanket, it covers a little bit of the floor, but a big blanket covers a lot of the floor. So, the bigger the blanket, the bigger the area it can cover!
Now, think of area like a coloring book page. When you color inside the lines, the area is everything you’ve colored. If the picture is a big one, like a giant circle, you have more space to color, and that means more area. But if it’s a tiny circle, the area is smaller because there’s less to color.
Picture a garden full of flowers. If you have a big garden, you can plant lots of flowers, and that’s a big area. But if the garden is small, you can only plant a few flowers, and that’s a small area. So, the area is all about how much space you have to fill with things like blankets, colors, or flowers!
