ancestor
An ancestor is like the roots of a big, strong tree. Just like a tree needs its roots to grow tall and have lots of branches, we need our ancestors to be here today. They are the people who lived a long time ago, like your great-grandparents or even their great-grandparents, and they are part of your family tree. Without them, you wouldn’t be here, just like a tree wouldn’t stand without its roots.
Think of it like a storybook. Your life is one of the chapters, but the book started a long time ago with the first chapter written by your ancestors. Each chapter adds something new and exciting, and because of them, your story can continue. They passed down things like the color of your eyes, your hair, and even some of the things you like to do!
Imagine a relay race. Your ancestors are like the runners who started the race a long time ago. They passed the baton, which is like life, from one runner to the next. Now it’s your turn to run with the baton, and one day, you’ll pass it on too. Each runner is important because, without them, the race couldn’t go on.
