acquaintance
An acquaintance is like a friendly face you see at the playground. You know their name and maybe even what games they like to play, but you don’t know everything about them like you do with your best friend. They are like the sun peeking through the clouds, bringing a little light but not shining as brightly as the full sun. Acquaintances are people you meet and say hello to, but you might not visit their house for a sleepover.
Think of an acquaintance as a puzzle piece that fits in a part of your life, but not the whole picture. You might share a few pieces of your day with them, like talking about your favorite cartoon, but you don’t share all your secrets. They are part of your world, but not the biggest part.
Acquaintances are like the sprinkles on a cupcake. They add a bit of color and fun, but the cupcake, which is your life, is made up of many other ingredients like family and close friends. They make your day a little brighter, but they are not the main part of your life story.
