Venus
Venus is a bit like a giant, super-hot ball in the sky. Imagine it’s like the brightest, shiniest marble you’ve ever seen, but it’s not safe to touch because it’s very, very hot. Venus is covered with thick clouds, like a cozy blanket, but these clouds are not like the ones you see in the sky. They are made of something called acid, which is not safe for us.
Think of Venus as a big, spinning pizza. But this pizza spins really slowly, much slower than Earth. It takes longer for Venus to spin around once than it does for Earth. So, a day on Venus is longer than a year on Earth! But unlike a pizza, Venus doesn’t have any toppings like trees or animals.
Venus is like a big, glowing lamp in the sky. It shines so brightly because of its thick clouds reflecting the sun’s light. It’s the second planet from the sun, making it a bit like Earth’s next-door neighbor. But even though it’s close, it’s not a place we can visit easily because of its hot and stormy weather.
