AIDS
Think about your body as a castle. Your immune system is like a team of brave knights that protect the castle from bad guys called germs. Sometimes, a really sneaky bad guy called HIV can get into the castle and start hurting the knights. When the knights can’t fight anymore, the castle becomes weak. This is what we call AIDS.
Picture a superhero team that always fights off villains to keep the city safe. If a supervillain named HIV comes and takes away the superheroes’ powers, the city becomes unprotected. AIDS is when the city is in danger because the superheroes can’t fight anymore.
Imagine a garden full of beautiful flowers. The immune system is like a gardener who takes care of the flowers, keeping weeds away. If a big, strong weed called HIV starts growing, it can stop the gardener from working. When the gardener can’t take care of the garden, the flowers can get sick. This is what happens with AIDS, where the body’s defense system can’t protect it anymore.
